Welcome to Addiction Consultation & Education (ACE),
a source of practical and straightforward information
about alcohol, drug, and behavioral addictions, recovery,
and how to help the addicted person in your life.
Beginning in the summer of 2023, ACE currently has a two-part mission. First, educational videos about drugs, addiction, and recovery will be created and presented on the ACE YouTube channel. Second, consultation (via telephone or videoconference) will be offered to individuals or families seeking guidance in navigating their troubled or strained relationship with an addicted family member or friend. In both the videos and individualized consultations, a special focus will be on helping non-addicted family members and friends better understand the sometimes baffling or harmful ways in which addicted people often think, feel, and act.
Dr. Mark is the founder of ACE. Here is his bio:
Throughout the U.S., Dr. Mark has provided mental health treatment for individuals, groups, and families in diverse clinical settings — including private practice, residential (“rehab”), inpatient, correctional, and in the community — for nearly 25 years. Having earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2002, he has specialized in addiction treatment and recovery since 2016. Dr. Mark’s professional expertise is uniquely informed by his personal experience with drug addiction and its life-altering consequences. A C.V. is available upon request.
